We are hiring for a Software Engineer for a top American water treatment company.  
STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and with offices in North Carolina, Atlanta, New York, Raleigh, and more.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Generate, construct, and perform technical testing on a variety of prototype and production products
  • Responsible for software/firmware/mobile and web app user acceptance, regression, and end-to-end tests to ensure software usability.
  • Manage assigned areas of the lab to cleanliness and safety standards
  • Troubleshoot test and machine failures
  • Support development of tests ranging from proof of principle to ongoing periodic tests
  • Document and accurately communicate test results; draft standardized test procedures for engineering review
  • Create automated testing systems utilizing measurement and simulation test tools such as LabVIEW, data acquisition systems, and programmable logic controllers.
  • Fabricate prototype assemblies to engineering specifications utilizing standard machine shop processes
  • Support preventative maintenance, calibrations, and organization of lab
  • Continually identify areas of improvement in process, training, and facility

QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. degree in Electrical/CSCI Engineering Technology (or similar) from an accredited institution
  • 7-10 years of experience in a test lab environment
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Hands-on prototyping and testing abilities;
  • LabVIEW or other relevant programming experience
  • Must be able to replicate field issues and provide feedback to develop about areas of interest.
  • Must be familiar with standard software/firmware regression testing paradigms
  • Practical knowledge of agile frameworks
  • Practical knowledge of various sensors (temperature, pressure transducers, etc.) and integration
  • Regulatory agency experience (UL, CE, NSF) preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity of serial and wireless protocols
