STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and with offices in LA, Atlanta, New York and more.

System Administrator will be responsible for a broad variety of technical administration and support for Health System information systems and enterprise applications.
Emphasis will be on supporting the IT Infrastructure components that involves Storage (Dell/EMC, Netapp), Linux (Redhat) and Backups (Commvault). Strong DevOps skills is preferred (Ansible, PowerShell, VRO, Python, Perl, shell, etc). Works independently or as a member of interdisciplinary teams on sophisticated projects.

  • Responsible for technical administration of IT Infrastructure involving SAN, Linux, and Backup systems.
  • Provides technical expertise and direct support for the planning, coordination, upgrade, improvement, and implementation of systems and infrastructure/application software.
  • Configures, installs, maintains, applies patches/fixes and troubleshoot physical and logical tiers of applications/software/systems.
  • Assists with conceptualization, design, and set up of systems architecture and its various components.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of technical standards, policies and procedures.
  • Ensures stable performance through performance monitoring and tuning.
  • Participates in capacity planning, workload modeling and prediction of resource needs.
  • Ensures that organizational change procedures and methodologies are implemented and followed.


  • 3 years of experience as a systems admin/engineer in a complex multi-platform, multi-protocol environment.
  • Experience with Linux (Redhat), SAN (Dell/EMC, Netapp), Backup (Commvault).
  • Strong DevOps skills (Ansible, VRO, Shell, Perl, Ruby, Python, etc). Advanced scripting skills preferred.
  • Experience with Cisco UCS, AIX, and Heath Care is a plus.
  • Solid project management and interpersonal skills; able to deal effectively with diverse skill sets and personalities, provide strong team leadership, and work effectively as a teammate.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. (preferred)
  • Technical Certification preferred. (Linux, SAN, etc)
