We are hiring for a Product Manager for a cutting edge media entertainment company.
STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and with offices in LA, Atlanta, New York, Raleigh, and more.

The Product Manager will play a pivotal role in the development and execution Film Production PCAsO (Production Contextual Asset Organizer) project including cloud based VFX Asset Management, integration across industry tools, collaborating with various technology teams in execution of key initiatives, and program management and executive leadership. This role will analyze and recommend solutions that ensures business needs are met. The role will provide direct input to the product roadmap and will partner with product management and technical solutions to detail requirements for application development & rationalization, cloud solutions, APIs and other integrations, data stewardship and vendor management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as liaison & SME between Business and IT, collaborate with business partners to define project scope and business requirements, analyze business problems and identify solutions that meet business goals
  • Excellent ability to relay highly complex information to others and have it interpreted correctly, presenting messages in a way that enhances understanding for large scale complex programs & projects
  • Strong ability to consistently anticipate & document users’ needs through an in depth understanding of a users’ requirements and objectives in the form of user stories
  • Ability to recommend and influence based on the needs of the project objectives within a competitive & diverse environment
  • Work directly with a product owner, business stakeholders, designers, developers, testers and engineers to coordinate the building of applications to spec
  • Identify & communicate risks to the Project Manager; provide support as appropriate to resolve issues.
  • Analyze application and business domain data requirements and business rules, understanding the data flow from source to screen
  • Drive development requirements, partner with development team and manage milestone delivery and communications with the business.
  • Adhere to agile methodologies while remaining flexible to business & program needs
  • Drive sprint planning discussions and participate in scrum and other agile activities
  • Create, maintain, and execute key testing artifacts such as test strategy and test cases based on acceptance criteria that you will develop with the business.
  • Partner with the various software development and technical services groups on the technical design and development process ensuring business requirements are understood and delivered
  • Understand and apply Corporate IT standards, designs and documentation (i.e. meeting minutes, business process documents and other process workflow diagrams as required)
  • Providing on-call and backup support for existing systems and functions when required
  • Maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders and partners
  • Build and communicate strategies to commit resources and ensure project deliverables are met

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant IT industry work experience including business analysis, system analysis and SDLC management.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements
  • Ability to work closely with business partners and technical teams
  • Interact with internal and external organizations (i.e. vendors, service providers, etc).
  • Possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and thorough with the ability to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Flexible and effective at multi-tasking.
  • Effective in a variety of formal/informal presentation settings: one-on-one, small and large groups.
  • Pro-active with issue identification and resolution.
  • Strong understanding of IT environments, technologies in relation to the business needs.
  • Proven practical experience with analysis and/or support to IT business processes.
  • Strong ability to perform analysis of small to medium complex business, workflow, and technology issues to support decision-making.
  • Well versed with relational database concepts, (SQL Server and Oracle). Able to write simple SQL queries
  • Ability to adapt to changing business requirements
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Experience using JIRA, MS Project, Confluence or similar project management tool

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in US Media & Entertainment environment preferred, specifically with Finance, Accounting, Sales, or Legal functions
  • Experience with physical production
  • Experience with custom and vendor managed solutions;
  • Excellent communication, presentation & analysis skills with solid business acumen
  • Collaborative team player accustomed to working within and across groups
  • Organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage own work as well as track the activities of others
  • Ability to manage through competing/conflicting requests and obtain consensus
  • Ability to overcome obstacles and develop resolutions to complex problems
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
