STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and with offices in LA, Atlanta, New York, Raleigh, and more.

Under limited supervision uses specialized knowledge and skills obtained through experience and/or formal training to provide professional recruiting services. Recruits, interviews, and screens job candidates to fill existing and future job openings within the organization through visits to college campuses, consultation with personnel agencies, sourcing through web 2.0 tools, internet databases and contacts within the larger community. Regular contact with internal and external customers is required to obtain, clarify and provide facts and information.


  • Contacts community job placement services, private personnel agencies, and colleges to set up interviews with job counselors for prospective job candidates.
  • Interviews applicants and gathers information regarding their education, experience, training, job skills, and salary requirements.
  • Maintains necessary files covering applications, interviews, and testing procedures along with tracking and reporting recruiting metrics.
  • Meets with department supervisors to discuss upcoming company needs and develop a multi-faceted recruitment program.
  • Proactively researches and investigates innovative sourcing strategies.
  • Conduct research and sourcing for entry-level to senior-level positions via resume mining, name generation, and/or candidate development.
  • Screens all candidates for availability, interest level, salary range, relocation needs, and basic qualifications.
  • Sources active candidates from online databases, contact lists, internal databases, and employee referrals.
  • Sources passive candidates through networking, cold calling, and Internet research.
  • Supervises interviewing, testing, and hiring processes to ensure adherence with all equal employment opportunity (EEO) legislation, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other government compliance requirements.
  • Works with departments to ensure that expenditures comply with budgetary limitations.
  • Arranges travel and lodging accommodations for applicants coming from distant locations.
  • Checks credentials and references and schedules follow-up interviews with company supervisors.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


  • Minimum 5 years recruiting experience with 2 years minimum tech recruiting experience.
  • Recruitment practices specifically for information technology industry
  • Legal requirements and federal and state regulations related to employment.
  • EEOC and OFCCP regulations. - Uniform Guidelines and EEO.
  • Interviewing practices and techniques.
  • Principles, practices and procedures of human resources administration associated with employment, compensation and classification.
  • Needs assessment concepts and processes.
  • Facilitation and presentation methods and techniques.
  • MS Office applications, experience in Applicant Tracking Systems (e.g. Brassring, Vurv, Taleo etc.).
  • Information Technology jobs. Skill in: - Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Interviewing, assessment, and negotiation.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and writing proficiency.
  • Organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal skills.


  • Prioritize and complete a high volume of work, managing multiple projects and coordinating multiple requests to successful completion.
